Gaza is experiencing a humanitarian crisis like never before. The war destroyed crops, and the blockade cut off most aid, leaving hundreds of thousands facing systematic starvation. Children lose weight every day, patients fall for lack of food and medicine, and the elderly die silently.
Gaza is facing one of the most serious humanitarian crises, with severe food shortages resulting in an increasing number of children, the sick and elderly suffering from wasting, anemia and vitamin deficiencies. More than 140 people died as a result of starvation, the majority of them children. Hospitals are also severely under-resourced, making them unable to cope with the increasing numbers of patients requiring treatment for malnutrition and its complications.
Children, the sick and the elderly are the most vulnerable in Gaza’s malnutrition crisis, and providing them with therapeutic food and basic health care is a top priority.
Early treatment of malnutrition reduces serious complications that may lead to chronic diseases or permanent disabilities.
How can you contribute?
The children of Gaza need you more than ever. Imagine a child eating for the first time in days thanks to you, and a mother breathing a sigh of relief as her child regains strength. These moments start with you.
